  Outreach

"Just as you did to the least who are members of my family, you did it to me.” Matthew 25:40

"We are a parish that is passionate about outreach. It is reflected in our liturgy, in our budget, in our fellowship events and in our pattern of daily life. Many of our parishioners have discovered through years of experience that serving others can enrich their lives, their souls, and bring love to their neighbours and to people who hunger and thirst for God throughout the world.

If you want an opportunity to do the outreach work to which God is calling you, I encourage you to join our community. I have been truly humbled by this parish, as it is filled with people who have been doing God's work for years. Come to a place where community workers and leaders recharge their hearts, minds and souls for another week in God's Kingdom."

-The Rev. Geoffrey Chapman

Creative Connections

On Tuesday mornings we host a drop-in for people to gather together to create, play, or just connect with neighbours. Join us from 10 a.m. to 12 noon; bring a craft that you're working on, or a game that you enjoy. We provide crafting materials if you don't have any. There are often people knitting, playing chess, and even quilting.

Refreshments available. Attendance is free of charge.

Diocesan Community Ministries

Through our partnership with the Diocese and through special appeals, Epiphany regularly contributes to the financial and physical needs of the Diocesan Community Ministries; which provide the community with drop-in day programs, an emergency women's shelter, and counselling support. The Community Ministries include: Centre 454, Cornerstone Housing for Women, The Ottawa Pastoral Counselling Centre, St. Luke's Table, and The Well.

Emergency Food Cupboard

Epiphany regularly contributes food and money donations to the Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard, where volnuteers provide an emergency supply of food to people in crisis in our community; nearly half of whom are under the age of 19.

Global Drop-In

On Wednesday mornings experienced family resource workers from Global's Community Outreach Program create a welcoming drop-in environment at Epiphany. Parents and caregivers enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in which to share and connect, and young children enjoy an enriched play and learning experience, exploring in a safe, supervised, and loosely structured program.

Attendance is free of charge for you and your children.

Please note: Drop in does not operate during the Christmas season or during the summer months.

Interchurch Refugee Group

Epiphany is a member of the non-denominational Interchurch Refugee Group, along with several other churches in the region. The churches work together to sponsor and assist refugees to Canada.

PWRDF

Through regular contributions and special appeals, Epiphany has long history of supporting the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund. PWRDF is the Canadian Anglican response for emergency relief, refugees, development, and justice.
